The American Friends of Umm el-Fahem Contemporary Museum of Art is an independent 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to the support of the Umm el-Fahem Gallery in Israel and its transformation into the first art museum within the Arab sector in Israel. - The permanent collection and changing exhibitions reflect the richness and complexity of the region and serve as a bridge to understanding and encouraging cultural dialogue between Arab and Jewish artists in Israel and with members of the greater artistic community abroad, between local leadership and residents and with members of the Arab and Jewish Israeli public. - It is the repository for the cultural legacy of Arab artists in Israel through the photographic and oral history Archive documenting the Wadi Ara area. - As a museum the educational and training opportunities the Umm el-Fahem Gallery now makes available to Arab Israelis will expand to include curatorial and administrative internships. Your contribution will help support the creation of the Umm el-Fahem Museum of Contemporary Arab Art in Israel. Additional support includes: individuals and foundations, private and corporate sponsorship, and facilitation of the donation of work created by Jewish and Arab Israeli artists to be housed in the new museum’s permanent collection. Contributions to the American Friends of the Umm el-Fahem Museum of Contemporary Art are tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law.
