Working Theater (Mark Plesent, Producing Artistic Director) has been producing affordable off-Broadway theatre for and about working people since 1985. The 2018 Annual Awards Ceremony is raising money to support Working Theater’s 33rd Season, featuring Five Boroughs/One City, a community-based initiative in which Working Theater has commissioned new plays to be created by writer/director teams partnering with community members in neighborhoods in each of the five boroughs of NYC, and the continuation of our TheaterWorks! program, which teaches writing and performance skills to working men and women throughout New York City.
