Haitian Supper: A Friend-Raiser for the Fair Housing Justice Center

May 17, 2019 - 6:00pm - 8:30pm

Hosted by Allison Brown, Sonnie Brown, and Lisa Darden-Carter

Please join us for a fundraiser for the Fair Housing Justice Center. FHJC’s mission is to eliminate housing discrimination; promote open, accessible, and inclusive communities; and strengthen enforcement of fair housing laws.

We will be serving a 3-course homemade Haitian supper made by Chef Kay.

Chef Kay was born and raised in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. Growing up, she spent hours in the kitchen watching the cooks and pestering them with questions. Today, Kay is a professional chef with over 40 years’ experience who loves how food brings people together. Her goal is to introduce delicious, healthy Haitian food in small, family-style settings. She also likes to counter the misconceptions of Haiti by sharing her passion and love for her culture through its delicious traditional recipes.

Price: $60 per person or $100 per couple. Advance payment required.
