Japanese American Social Services, Inc. (JASSI) is a non-profit organization established in 1981 to address the social services needs of persons in the Greater New York area. Whether one is a newcomer to New York or a long time resident whose first language is Japanese, one is certain to face unforeseen problems arising from language barriers and cultural differences. JASSI's bilingual staff members and cadre of volunteers stand ready to offer culturally sensitive assistance and support.
