The Federation of Protestant Welfare Agencies is an intermediary support organization that works to ensure the social and economic security of the city's most vulnerable citizens. FPWA acheives this by providing training, technical and financial assistance, and program support to over 200 social service agencies and 100 churches. FPWA also grants scholarships, provides emergency financial assistance to individuals and families, and advocates for fair and compassionate policies on behalf of New York's children, families, and elderly.
