Walking with Warhol

Forget about 15 minutes! Andy Warhol spent more than 15 years living and working on the Upper East Side. In this walking tour, architectural historian Matt Postal will make Warhol’s world pop. We’ll see two of Warhol's residences, and find out where he created his iconic Campbell’s Soup cans. Along the way, we’ll get a taste of how our neighborhood supported and influenced his pioneering art, scoping out sites related not only to Andy’s own exhibitions, but also to those of his fellow artists and most loyal patrons. Since Warhol covered so much ground over his storied career, this tour will follow suit; we’ll wind our way all the way from 89th Street to 66th Street, stopping for sensational stories from Andy’s uptown escapades. Pop in and join us!
