Please join us for the national launch of
Jim Wallis
newest book Rediscovering Values: On Wall Street, Main Street and Your
Street- A Moral Compass for the New Economy. Singer/songwriter
Joy Ike
will kick off the evening and the program will include diverse panel of
local and national leaders representing labor, finance, social justice,
and ethics. This night is sure to be much more than a book launch as
we raise the volume on a timely national conversation about moral and
economic recovery.
So join the conversation. In Rediscovering Values, Wallis argues
that while we are all waiting for an economic recovery what is most
needed is a moral recovery. With a critical eye towards big bank
bail-outs and bonuses, Wallis urges us to place more worth on family,
faith and social justice. He offers up twenty moral exercises to
challenge individuals, communities and congregations because nothing
will change until we do.
Jim Wallis is a bestselling author, public theologian, speaker,
preacher, and international commentator on religion and public life,
faith and politics. He is President and Chief Executive Officer of
Sojourners where he is editor-in-chief of Sojourners magazine. Wallis'
previous books include the New York Times best-sellers God's Politics
and The Great Awakening.
