~About the group ~

SON DE MADRE With members from Cuba, Argentina, Israel, Puerto Rico and the U.S., SON DE MADRE is a Latin band with an international flavor. The band’s style is based on Cuban music (Son, Chachacha, Mambo, Bolero, Timba) infused with other influences (Jazz, Funk, Brazilian).

Their debut CD “RUMBEROS” shows these diverse styles and was very well received by critics and crowds all over the world. Two songs from the CD were chosen to represent Latin bands from New York and on World Music Network’s (UK) compilation from Latin bands worldwide.

SON DE MADRE and its members are on the top of the Latin field music and have performed and/or recorded with artists like Celia Cruz, Paquito D’Rivera, Victor Manuel, India, Albita Rodriguez, El Puma, Spanish Harlem Orchestra to name a few. They have performed several times on different shows on the 2 biggest Spanish channels, Univision and Telemundo. SON DE MADRE has also performed on the most prestigious stages in New York City, like S.O.B.’s , Flamingo, Latin Quarter, and the Village Underground.

The band’s second recording is on its way.
