Join the Workshop for an intimate cocktail reception and dinner to kick off PAGE TURNER: The Inaugural Asian American Literary Festival and Awards Ceremony. Please show that you believe in the art of literature in a time when less than a third of Americans read for pleasure. Your contribution will help support exceptional cultural events that give a community to Asian Americans and lovers of literature alike; a scholarship to encourage disadvantaged students of color in their creative pursuits; and a special fellowship for a young writer to gain vital arts administration experience at the Workshop. Help us build an even greater readership for exceptional literary works by Asian American authors, and ensure that our first Literary Festival an overwhelming success!
ABOUT THE WORKSHOP. For nearly two decades, The Asian American Writers’ Workshop has been a force for exceptional literature. We nurture anyone who has a story to tell, whether they’re Pulitzer Prize winner Jhumpa Lahiri, whose first book party we hosted, or a struggling young writer just graduating from high school. Just last year, the United Asian American Organizations named us one of the top five Asian American groups in the country.
