This training workshop will introduce you to the basic principles behind drama therapy. Throughout the day you will explore ways in which theatre can be used to heal and transform lives, exploring the CANY model of drama therapy through theory and group activities.
Participants will...
- Experience the drama therapy process in action
- Gain practical skills in how to safely explore real life experiences through metaphor and play
- Explore the rationale behind the therapeutic use of theatre from warm-up to enactment
- Participate in drama therapy interventions aimed at improving self-esteem, emotional self-expression and personal growth
- Learn about the profession of drama therapy
Morning refreshments will be served. There will be an afternoon break for lunch.
