This training workshop will introduce you to the basic principles and practice behind drama as a healing modality. You will explore the basic tenets of the CANY model of Drama Therapy through theory and experiential activities.
Participants will...
- Explore how the CANY Model offers opportunities for building communities of trust
- Experience the drama therapy process in action
- Begin to understand the rationale behind the therapeutic use of metaphor and its practical application in healing dramas
- Participate in drama therapy interventions aimed at improving client relatedness, self-esteem, emotional expression, self-regulation, spontaneity and the capacity to play a diverse range of life roles
Morning refreshments will be served. There will be a break in the afternoon for lunch.
