| Please join us for the annual Phipps Houses Community Builder Awards dinner, when we honor Charles W. Scharf, Chief Executive Officer of Retail Financial Services and a member of the Executive Committee at JPMorgan Chase.
As a key leader at one of the nations major financial institutions, Mr. Scharf has played an important role in the long-term commitment of JPMorgan Chase to building New York City communities. We are pleased to honor Mr. Scharf and the bank for supporting our housing development, as well as that of other affordable housing developers across the City.
Phipps Houses and Phipps Community Development Corporation strive to build enduring communities. We do so by building affordable housing in low-income neighborhoods and helping more than 8,000 children, teens and adults access educational, social, employment-directed and civic opportunities that enhance their ability to strengthen their communities, succeed at work, and raise healthy families.
The Community Builder Awards is a celebration of leadership and contribution in building New York City communities. Funds raised through this event help support and strengthen Phipps CDC programs. We thank all those who provide ongoing financial support, including government agencies, corporation, and individuals, as well as the organizations that collaborate with us in providing these services.
