| On November 10th, the night of reckoning will be upon us. Inside a large loft in Noho (actually a garage where vendors store their carts at night), the Vendy Award finalists will conduct the cook-off we have all been waiting for.
There will be an open bar of wine and beer, and the vendors will be selling their food (at their usual street-level prices) to guests in attendance. A team of expert street food judges will determine the winner. After the honors are bestowed, DJ Q will spin world music into the night.
This event is a fundraiser to support the Street Vendor Project of the Urban Justice Center, a nonprofit organization that provides a voice for the ten thousand people who sell their wares on the streets and sidewalks of our city. The full cost of each ticket is tax-deductible.
