About NAMI in Buffalo & Erie County
NAMI Buffalo & Erie County is an organization of more than 450 families and friends with seriously mentally ill loved ones. Our leaders and staff are all volunteers who've had many years of experience in dealing with the illnesses of their own relatives and with the mental health system, and who are committed to assisting, educating, and supporting other families in similarly difficult situations.
Founded in 1984, NAMI Buffalo & Erie County is affiliated with NAMI National, which has more than 275,000 members across the country; we're also one of 58 New York State affifiates.
Please consider making a donation to assist us in our critical work of helping families and patients with serious mental illness. We're grateful for support we've received from the Margaret L. Wendt Foundation, the Buffalo Community Foundation, the League of Women Voters, our members and friends. We're honored this year to receive a donation of $8,400 from the Frank Giancola, III Golf Tournament, the largest in our history from a family. Your support will make a difference!
