Literacy in Motion (LIM) seeks to improve access to literacy resources for low income families in New York City by extending the reach of New York's public libraries for significant numbers of under served children and families. Through a series of strategically placed book vending machines, LIM will provide access to reading materials that can be borrowed free of charge using public libraries' card systems. Additionally, through a variety of methods, including library card drives, distribution of informational material, and the creation of partnerships with key educational organizations, LIM will educate families on the importance of reading with their children.
