Peridance Ensemble LTD is a 501(c)-3 organization established in New York City in 1984 that consists of the Peridance Contemporary Dance Company (PCDC) and the Peridance Youth Ensemble. Peridance Contemporary Dance Company is based out of Peridance Capezio Center in New York City. It is a professional repertory company built on the choreography of artistic director Igal Perry and the works of distinguished collaborating artists. The Company challenges audiences with innovative choreography by fostering an intelligent appreciation of dance as an art form. PCDC also has a rich history of charitable programs and constantly seeks opportunities to give back to the community.
The Peridance Youth Ensemble is a pre-professional outreach dance company founded in 2000 as a natural extension of The School at Peridance that prepares student dancers for the professional company. The Youth Ensemble focuses on non-profit activities, including Interactive Workshops in at-risk communities. The Ensemble brings dance to hundreds of urban children, developing relationships with them as company members share their knowledge of and love for dance.
In addition to the extensive, well-rounded curriculum of dance classes, the Ensemble develops relationships with hundreds of children from various organizations by extending their knowledge and love for dance through Interactive Workshops.
