The mission of Animal Center of Queens, Inc. (ACQ) is to educate the public about responsible companion animal ownership, the importance of early training, the necessity to spay and neuter to prevent pet overpopulation which leads to abandonment, cruelty, and euthanasia, and that pet ownership is a lifetime commitment. We rescue dogs and cats from the kill shelter before they are euthanized and keep them safe with us until a suitable home is found.
