Bronx Community Charter school opened its doors on September 2, 2008 with 50 kindergartners and 50 first graders from all over the North Bronx. Founded by local Bronx teachers and community members, BxC is a vibrant learning community where students work with materials, ask questions, gather information, look for answers, share ideas, and explore their world. BxC also offers a rich arts program that included visual arts, drama and a Latin and African drumming program.
