Agenda for Children Tomorrow, (ACT) is a unique public-private partnership that promotes the well-being of children, families and neighborhoods throughout New York City. ACT is convinced that communities can empower themselves for change by gaining the strength and capacity to advocate for themselves. By convening public agencies, private organizations and communities, we are the change agent that enables transformations to happen.
We accomplish this through our five areas of focus.
1. Build the capacity of self-advocacy
for youth, parents and families.
2. Assist service providers to identify
and respond to the strengths within
communities;
3. Develop accessible and user-friendly
entrees to services;
4. Encourage integrated and
coordinated service delivery
structures across public and private
agencies;
5. Promote culturally relevant access to
services.
Central to our mission is the pursuit of strategic and sustainable opportunities to achieve these goals.
*All donations made to Agenda for Children Tomorrow will be sent to their fiscal agent Fund for the City of New York.
