The Marie-Christine Giordano Dance Company (MCGDC) has a two-fold mission that embraces both artistic expression and education. In its artistic endeavors, with a special concern for aesthetics and sincerity, MCGDC presents thoughtful and deeply moving pieces that explore the differing texture of dancing and the complex landscape of the human heart. In recent work, Ms. Giordano has addressed over-arching societal structures and their impact – through conditioning – on individual identity, particularly for women. In its educational programs, MCGDC uses dance and movement forms to convey positive messages of hope, accomplishment and community that go well beyond language and cultural differences.
