Ascent School is a year round education program for children battling Autism. At Ascent children are learning how to lead the most independent lives possible. For some children this includes learning bathroom independence, how to eat and how to speak, for others it is transitioning into their local school districts and attaining job skills. For all it is a better way of life. Autism affects 1 in every 150 births. It is more common than childhood cancer and childhood diabetes and yet it rceives less than 5% of the funding.
