Unlike traditional childhood literacy programs, the objective of the ROR model is to deliver specialized early literacy counseling. ROR achieves this by taking advantage of the unique access that pediatricians have to children while they are in their critical years of cognitive and language development - 6 months through 5 years old.
For over 10 years ROR GNY has served children and families in New York City, Long Island, and seven counties north of the city: Westchester, Rockland, Putnam, Orange, Dutchess, Ulster and Sullivan. Your donation will enable us to continue working toward our mission of making literacy promotion a standard part of primary pediatric care, so that children grow up with books and a love of reading.
