At this very moment, MAS is championing a vision for a 21st century Coney Island that honors the spirit of “America’s Playground.” We recently convened a world-class team of designers and are now collecting hundreds of fresh new ideas from the public. On the sustainability front, we’re urging the city to broaden its 2012 agenda to include one of the most important – but not as yet officially identified – strategies for New York’s green future: the preservation of our city’s historic buildings. And we continue our unceasing advocacy for a great public train hall in the Farley Post Office (a new Moynihan Station) for which we feel renewed optimism with Governor Paterson’s firm commitment to the project.
